Reservations and Deposits

We do require a deposit to hold your reservation. The amount will depend on the length of your booking, the number of people and the time for which you wish to book.
Payment options for the deposit are bank transfers, or Visa and MasterCard. The rest of the rent is in cash on arrival day. For details, please see “Payment options” section in our WEB site.
You can also choose to pre pay your entire booking with Visa or MasterCard, or you can transfer a part or all the booking value to our bank.
For short reservations of 4 days or less we will frequently ask for a full pre payment using your Visa or MasterCard. Also for times of great events or festivals we might require that (Easter, Formula 1, Christmas, etc).
As deposit during your stay, we require a signed Visa card slip. This one will be destroyed if the apartment is returned in good order.
The deposit amount has a charge of 3,5% corresponding to management expenses.
If you will need a baby bed, please let us know it when you make your reservation.

Cancellation

If the client cancels a reservation, there is a cancellation charge that will depend on the number of days before the beginning of the rental period:

• More than 90 days before: 20% of the total amount.
• 60-89 days before: 30% of the total amount.
• 33-59 days before: 75% of the total amount.
• Less than 32 days before: 100% of the total amount.

If for any reason beyond their control, including force majeure,

Tourist Flats BCN S.L. should be unable to provide to the client the property he has booked, they reserve the right to transfer him to a property of similar characteristics.

If no agreement can be reached both contractual parties are authorised to cancel the contract. In this case Tourist Flats BCN S.L. will refund to the client all monies paid (except the part corresponding to the days that the apartment was used, if this were the case).

Tourist Flats BCN will not be liable for further claims by the client.

Number and identity of the guests

The client will inform Tourist Flats BCN of the number of guests included within the booking. Unless otherwise agreed by Tourist Flats BCN, only the number of persons indicated by the client when booking shall be authorised to use the apartment. The number of persons who may use the apartment may not exceed the number of persons allocated for each apartment, except for children under two years of age. Pets are only allowed where permission has specifically been granted. In the event of any infringement of the aforementioned obligations, Tourist Flats BCN at its sole discretion will be entitled to request the client to leave the apartment, and the client shall have no right to claim any type of compensation.

Behaviour

The client signing the rental agreement will be liable for the correct and decent behaviour of all the persons accompanying him/her. Should that person, or any of the persons accompanying him/her not behave in a suitable and responsible way, Tourist Flats BCN shall be entitled to request the client and the persons accompanying him/her to leave the apartment without the right for the latter to claim any type of compensation.

Cleaning

The apartment shall be cleaned prior to the arrival of each client. When leaving, the client is be obliged to leave the apartment in a reasonable condition. Tourist Flats BCN will be entitled to deduct any cleaning charges from the credit card used to secure the booking.

Liabilities

Tourist Flats BCN nor the owner of the apartment shall be liable for any direct or indirect damages that may arise as a consequence of the use by the client of the apartment, including without limitation, damages, insurance, losses because of fires, robbery or criminal behaviour. In case of any infringement of the aforementioned obligations, Tourist Flats BCN at its sole discretion will be entitled to request the client to leave the apartment, and the client shall have no right to claim any type of compensation.

Access is further conditional on your agreement that any dispute or matter which arises between you and us will be dealt with by the Courts of Spain, only to the exclusion of the Courts of any other country.
